FTP File Transfer You will need to Call or email us at jobs@robinimaging.com to get an FTP name and password in order to use our FTP services.
Before sending files check to make sure you have included all printer and screen fonts, and imports. (note: the average data transfer is about 5 minutes per mg when using a 28.8 modem. After sending your file, please call or e-mail a customer service representative and notify them of your file transfer along with any instructions. Prior to launching your FTP program, please compress your files using Stuffit Expander or make a self extracting file from another application. This will ensure your files will arrive intact. All files need to be BinHexed to protect them as they travel through the network. All files need to follow DOS filename conventions (up to 8 characters, no spaces, plus an extension)

Send a file via FTP
When using stand alone FTP software such as "Fetch" (on Macintosh) or "WS_FTP" for (Windows) :
Using Ftp
If you are using a mac you have to use FTP software to be able to use the ftp site.
If you need to use our ftp site you will need to access it either from Typing into the browser ftp://216.68.252.19 or Our web page by clicking on the home page and then clicking on ftp which will take you to a new page. Then you will need to click on ftp again. This will take you to our ftp site. You might get a "page cannot be displayed". All you will need to do at this point is just click refresh and a name and password box will open and you will enter the correct information. " Then drag and drop whatever you are wanting to upload to us into the window.
With Explorer 7 you will get a page cannot be Displayed after you try to login. When this happens you will need to click on the Page button on the top right hand side of explorer by the tools button then go down to show ftp site in explorer. After picking this option it will then ask you for your name and password again just enter the name and password you recieved when you called us and it should work. Then drag and drop whatever you are wanting to upload to us into the window.

If you cannot access ftp from the browser then you will need to download a new browser or update the existing one that you have on your computer if for some reason that you still cannot get it to work . Then you can download a trial version of a stand alone ftp software such as "Cute ftp " for Mac or Pc or
If you are using ftp software you will need to enter the following information
Login Name
Password
Host
You should not need a directory path leave it blank.

- If you are using an internet browser,and an internet service provider (ISP, not a commercial online service like AOL) and definitely if you are working on a Mac (and probably if you are in Win95), you need to BinHex your file before you send it. Download a BinHex utility from the, CNETS shareware page,
- most likely when you signed up with your internet service, they gave you a BinHex 4.0 and/or StuffIt Expander. Stuffit Expander will decode BinHex files, but it won't create them. So use your Stuffit Expander to get to the BinHex 4.0 you just downloaded.
- if you have bought a recent version of the Mac O/S (7.5.3 or 7.6) you probably received a copy of the Apple Internet Connection Kit. On the CD is a folder called utilities, you will find Stuffit Expander in there.
If you are on in Win95, your download is an executable so double click on it and follow the instructions.
Online services and FTP only applications will automatically BinHex a file...
